1. Acceptance of Terms

By using weeklycheckin.app (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page and take effect upon publication. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Service Description

Couple’s Weekly Check-in is a free web application for couples that enables the following:

• Conduct weekly relationship check-ins with thoughtful questions
• Share appreciations, discuss friction points, and express needs
• Receive AI-generated summaries and suggested agreements
• Track relationship patterns over time

The availability of the Service is subject to our technical capabilities and cannot be guaranteed.

3. Account Registration and Security

The following requirements apply to the use of the Service:

• You must be at least 16 years old
• You must provide truthful and complete information during registration
• Email verification is required
• You are responsible for the security of your login credentials
• Accounts may not be shared with other persons
• Each account is intended for a single individual

4. Partner Invitation and Shared Data

When you invite a partner, certain data is shared between you:

• Appreciations, friction points, needs, summaries, agreements, and memories are shared with your partner
• “Risk to watch” is NEVER shared with your partner – these entries always remain private
• Both partners can see each other’s name and email address
• Leaving the shared couple space ends the data sharing

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, the following is prohibited:

• Any unlawful use
• Manipulation of the system or its features
• Distribution of malware
• Automated data extraction (scraping)
• Disruption or impairment of the Service
• Identity fraud or impersonation of other persons
• Abusive, insulting, or harassing content in check-ins

6. AI-Generated Content

Summaries and agreement suggestions are generated using artificial intelligence (OpenAI). Please note:

• This content does not constitute professional relationship counseling
• The accuracy of AI-generated content cannot be guaranteed
• You should not rely solely on AI suggestions for relationship decisions

7. Intellectual Property

The design, features, and software of the Service are the property of the operator. You retain ownership of your check-in content.

By using the Service, you grant the operator a limited license to process and display your content in connection with providing the Service.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party providers:

• OpenAI – for AI-generated summaries
• Resend – for email delivery
• Railway – for hosting

We assume no responsibility for the availability or performance of these third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without any express or implied warranty. In particular, we make no guarantee regarding:

• The accuracy of AI-generated analyses and suggestions
• The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
• The suitability of the Service for a particular purpose

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the operator’s liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits, or data loss is excluded.

As this is a free service, the operator’s total liability is limited to EUR 0. This does not apply to damages arising from injury to life, body, or health, or to damages based on intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty.

11. Termination

Termination by the User

You may delete your account at any time via the settings. Account deletion is final and irreversible.

Termination by the Operator

The operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts in case of violations of these Terms of Service.

Effects of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the Service will end. Deletion of your data will be carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or individual features at any time. Prior notice is not required.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For disputes arising from or in connection with these terms, the German courts shall have jurisdiction.

14. Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms of Service is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. Invalid provisions shall be replaced by those that most closely approximate the economic purpose of the invalid provision.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the use of the Service.
